Champions League Festival

Today i worked as a commentator and stadium announcer at the Champions League Festival in Hyde Park. I say worked, it was for the Bobby Moore Fund, a charity dear to my heart. Here’s me with BMF founder Stephanie Moore, Bobby’s widow and a truly splendid woman. I commentated on a match between the Parliamentary […]

End of Season Gala Dinner

I thought presenting at the end of season gala dinner, the day after we were relegated would be a tough gig. Actually it was a great night out and I met lots of lovely people. I’ve been feeling so down since West Ham lost at Wigan, that the last thing I wanted was a night […]

My book

Google can be a scary thing. I just googled my book title and found it on Amazon already. I’m still writing it! The book ‘Mr Moon Has Left the Stadium’ is a funny account of my life as the West Ham United FC announcer. It comes out on August 1st. It has to be handed […]

Olympics

Some exciting news – I’ve made it onto the shortlist to be a stadium announcer at the London 2012 Olympics. I’m ridiculously excited about it.

Our Sporting Life

Today I went to Curve in Leicester to film an exhibition of sporting history. There’s some cracking pictures from the Leicester Mercury in the display. The above shot of me in front of a picture of Sven was taken by the Mercury’s Andy Baker, who kindly sent it to me.

The Shooting Nurse

This nurse comes with added firepower. Her patients have to behave themselves, because she’s a crack shot. Sharon Lee has two Commonwealth Games silver medals and now she’s aiming for Olympic gold at London 2012.

Victory eclipsed by Mr Moon

I’m never one to moan about a fellow West Ham fan, but there’s one chap who is getting on my nerves. This Mr Moon fellow has been arriving and leaving the stadium during games for as long as I can remember. There’s nothing more annoying than people arriving midway through games is there? You’re in […]

Tim Gard with me

[ti_audio media=”428″ autoplay=”1″] Picture courtesy of www.timgard.com Here’s my interview with Tim Gard, the brilliant American speaker.  He’d just come off stage at the PSA 2009 convention in Marlow. His after dinner set was hilarious.  For me it was extra special because it was my birthday, and Tim invited eight fellow speakers onto the stage […]
