I met up with fellow stadium announcer Alan Birchenall for a tour around Leicester City’s new look training facilities. Despite being born in East Ham, The Birch never played for the mighty Hammers. But, I gave him a copy of my book anyway, as like me he was sacked and then brought back after a fans campaign. He’s a smashing bloke and a true Leicester Legend.
